Track your progress by checking, crossing, or coloring a dinosaur track or egg for every 15 minutes you read. For example, if you read 45 minutes in one day, mark off 3 circles. For every 3 hours (12 tracks) you read, bring your reading log to the library to collect a small prize and submit a raffle ticket (on the fold-out inside) for a grand prize! All reading logs must be returned no later than Saturday, August 22, to be eligible for prizes and raffles. Don't forget that graphic novels, audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, and articles count too!
Register for summer reading by picking up a punch card from any VPL desk starting Monday, June 29.
Fill in your name and phone number.
Get one hole punch upon return of a completed book or audiobook.
When your punch card is full, a staff member will initial it for you, and you can enter it into the basket raffle of your choice. Basket raffles are located on the display table in front of the youth desk.
Enter all punch cards by Saturday, August 22, to be eligible for raffle prizes!
VPL hosts events from Monday, July 6, to Friday, August 14, following the Unearth a Story theme! Browse and register for events online using our LibCal calendar. Registration opens two weeks before the event unless otherwise noted.
