VPL is not liable for incidents, accidents, or other consequences resulting from a parent, guardian, or caregiver's negligence, absence, or failure to supervise unattended children in their care. Remember to keep an eye on your kids, ages 12 and under, while you are at the library.
Whether you are in the library or at an event, please be aware of where your children are and what they are up to. Some kids may need a little more guidance than others in events like storytimes, STEAM, or all-ages events and it is the responsibility of parents, caregivers, and guardians to step in if a child needs help or is in distress.
