Advocacy Works!

Advocacy works! The first New York State Senate bill is out. They propose Library Aid at $103.1 Million (an increase of $7 Million from the executive budget) and Construction Aid at $39 Million (restoring the Governor’s cut and adding another $5 Million).

New York State Assembly has proposed $104.6M in Library Aid ($8.5M increase from the Executive) and $54M in Construction Aid ($40M increase from the Executive).

We are so grateful to those who reached out to their representatives in support of our local libraries! While the final budget is being discussed, continue contacting your representatives and encourage them to support library funding.
